These productivity hackers have carved their careers while riding the wave of digital revolution in India. When everyone is glued to their smartphones or laptops, they have found a unique position to leverage the immense web of social, local and mobile networks to their gains.

And they intend to get paid for it too. Heavily. The best part of these high paying jobs is, you don’t need to know how to code. It’s just an added bonus if you can make the machines sing.

Note: We’re deliberately excluding the strictly tech jobs from this list as we have written about them in the past. And we intend to do an in-depth analysis of tech profiles again in the future.

So, without further wait, let’s start our list of best high paying jobs in India in 2017.

Growth Hacker

As Wikipedia defines it – “Growth hacking is a process of rapid experimentation across marketing channels and product development to identify the most effective, efficient ways to grow a business.”

Basically, growth hacking is philosophy rooted in a famous Zuckerberg quote – “Move fast and break things”. Anyone can be a growth hacker – marketers, engineers and product managers. Growth hackers focus on building the product quickly, engaging the user base via marketing channels, swift product launches and more.

They are one of the best-paid professionals in the industry right now. Especially in a startup ecosystem – where they experiment massively and provide secrets to scaling quickly to fledgeling newbies.

The reason this is one of the best high paying jobs in India is simple. They learn on the go and aren’t afraid to fail at all. This makes them invincible against the fear which ails many entrepreneurs. And out of these fearless leaps are born some unconventional, groundbreaking ideas which may seem ordinary on the surface. By all estimations, every company worth their salt will hire growth hackers in 2017.

Salary range: They earn anywhere between Rs 50,000 to Rs 3 lakhs per month for their services.

Technical writer

Writing for tech is completely different from your marketing content or blogs. It’s not so much about the cool new features of a product as it’s about the raw understanding of it. You need to dive deep into the mechanics and technical specs of a product to produce a good technical piece.

Technical writers are knee deep into the tech knowledge pool. They write stuff like how a new API will integrate into your product. Or how a new feature will impact a million customers who use that service or product.

Sometimes these technical writers are experienced developers themselves. Their work is as vibrant as their talents. For leading tech publications to tech giants, technical writers are reaching a position when they’re a must to produce meaningful content.

While 2016 has seen a fair amount of tech writers in the startup world, 2017 is going to see more of them. Commanding a hefty but well-justified salary for their knowledge, technical writers will have one of the best high paying jobs in India in 2017.

Salary range: Rs 50,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh a month.

Digital Strategist

An offshoot of Growth Hackers, this job is made to rule the Internet. At least for those who can actually do it. If you’re into tech, but more into the mechanics of how and why things work than specific skills, then this is the perfect job for you

Digital strategists pour their hours translating user data into actionable steps. These folks love to plan and execute those plans fast. All based on their high authority data analysing superpowers. Most of the times they don the hat of an analyst too, but hey, they’re growth hackers remember?

To become a kickass digital strategist you’ll need a few things. First, super analytical skill – remember those graphs and pie charts? Then, your research skills must be bordering on mad – dive deep to find that golden nugget of data my friend. Third is your testing and optimization skills – pivot quickly if version A doesn’t work.
